Kolcraft Cloud Plus Review (The #1 Inexpensive Lite Umbrella Stroller)
I needed a new everyday stroller that was easier to put in the car and was glad to find this ultra-compact Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller. One of the main selling features, for our family, was the one-year warranty. We appreciate that Kolcraft stands behind their products and has replaced strollers the company felt were defective or didn’t meet the standards expected for their strollers.

The Cloud Plus is Extreme Portable
At slightly under 12 pounds, the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller seems like a cloud after lifting our traditional travel system in and out of the car.
A one-hand fold system makes it easy to open and fold, and it folds much smaller than other lightweight strollers.
This stroller stands out due to its practicality. Once it’s folded, this Kolcraft stroller has a stand-alone feature that means you don’t need to immediately put it away after collapsing the stroller
Designed with Children in Mind
This stroller truly is for children from newborn to early elementary school. It has a five-point-harness that can be adapted to a three-point-harness when the child is old enough and is easy to adjust to the child’s size.
It can hold children up to 50 pounds. It also offers an excellent recline option with a toggle on the back. You pull the strap all the way across to sit up all the way, and then loosen the strap until you’ve reached the angle you want for your child.
It doesn’t lay completely flat, but reclines enough for naps and resting.
The extra-large canopy has an additional piece that can fold down for extra coverage on especially sunny days – a great option for kids who don’t like the sun in their eyes.
It’s really Easy to Handle
The Kolcraft Cloud Plus Stroller weighs only 11.8 pounds but steers as well as the heavier strollers.
The front-wheel system has two wheels for each front position, and this gives your child a smooth ride, even when you’re only pushing the stroller with one hand.
It doesn’t compromise on stability, though – it’s just as stable turning in circles as it is moving forward and backward. The brake system is secure and holds the stroller firmly in place with a simple nudge of your foot.
It Offers Practical Parent Feature
A roomy basket gives me enough space for a diaper bag and a few others. It’s not as big as the basket on a full-size stroller but is a decent size for what I was needed.
I was pleasantly surprised by the padded handles, and appreciate the parent tray. Like a good organizer, It’s not quite big enough for, say, a coffee cup, but holds my cell phone and my keys.
And the stroller is so easy to maneuver that I can hold my drink with one hand and use the other to push the stroller.

Pros
There are some features that I love about this stroller:
- The Kolcraft Cloud has a higher weight limit than many other lightweight strollers.
- The fabric for the seat is screwed into the frame, making it very durable.
- An extended-length canopy completely covers my child.
- Three- and Five-Point Harness for safety an infant and toddler baby as my choice.
- Stands Alone When Collapsed, It’s another awesome feature what I like this stroller for.
- This stroller has one-hand fold system what makes easy my traveling with the baby.
- The Kolcraft Stroller is Available in Several Colors, Slate, Fire Red, and Fuchsia for boys and girls.
Cons
This stroller is very sturdy, but not very parent-friendly:
- Cup holders on the parent’s tray are narrow – ideal for sippy cups or bottles of water, but not for coffee cups.
- The child snack tray needs to be completely removed if a young child wants to get in the stroller without help. The tray snaps off.
- Cleaning the fabric is difficult since it doesn’t easily come off the frame.

Final Words
As far as strollers go, I’ve seen and used many myself and with my friends. I enjoy this Cloud Plus Stroller but wish that there was a little more back and seat support for young children.
If you haven’t mastered the art of folding the stroller back down, you could be folding it wrong and causing damage to your stroller.
The Kolcraft stroller has gone all over, from amusement parks, dirt trails, and crowded shopping malls, and didn’t give us any problems. With a weight limit of 50 pounds, I know we will be using this for many years to come.
