Graco LiteRider Reviews(Click Connect vs Classic Connect Comparison)

We were given a great travel system, but it was a little too clumsy for our liking. Since our other car seat was a Graco Click Connect, I wanted to find a lighter-weight stroller that would be compatible, and the Graco LiteRider Click Connect Stroller was just what I needed.

The Graco Click Connect Literider Stroller surprised me – I was looking for an easy-to-steer stroller that would fit in my car, and I wasn’t disappointed. We’ve tried jogging and full-size strollers and needed something smaller for quick trips.

Perfect Stroller Color

The colors are vibrant, but perfect for a boy or a girl, and the attention to design detail makes the appearance of the stroller pop. What sold me on the stroller, though, was its convenience factor. The fact that I can fold it with one hand to get it in my car is fantastic.

Extremely Easy to Put Together

This Stroller is only a little bigger than an umbrella stroller but brings the power and durability of a much larger stroller. Its smaller size makes it a breeze to put in a trunk or smaller car, and I think this will be good to take along on car trips because it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Even with a smaller frame, there is plenty of room in the seat. The stroller can hold a child up to 40 pounds, so it can get you well through your little one’s early years.

It was extremely easy to put together. The canopy shade, front wheels and rear axle simply snap into place, and I put on the rear wheels in three quick steps.

Amazing Portability

Weighing in at less than 17 pounds the Graco Click Connect LiteRider Stroller is incredibly easy to fit in the car. It’s designed to unfold with one easy step, one of my favorite features.

Lift the handle up, and open the storage latch at the same time. Once it’s fully open, a click sound ensures the stroller won’t fold back down.

Putting the stroller away is even easier. Push a button and turn a piece on the handle, and with a slight push down, the stroller closes and can be put away.

Easy to Push the Stroller

I’ve tried this stroller on a few different terrain types and have had no problems pushing this stroller on grass, dirt, rock or sidewalk. It has an excellent suspension system to make traveling more comfortable for your child, as well.

The double-front wheel system means there are four total wheels in the front, increasing maneuverability. The stroller has swivel or locked front-wheel options.

Provides Years of Use

All Graco Click Connect products are compatible within the line, and this is no different. The Click Connect car seats give parents peace of mind that their child is safe and secure from car seat to stroller.

Additionally, a five-point harness is the safest option for younger children and is included in the Graco Click Connect LiteRider Stroller. Once your baby has grown, the safety straps can be converted to a three-point harness for older children.

The Graco LiteRider can hold children up to 40 pounds, which means this will last well through toddler hood for most children. The fabric choice is very durable and attached securely to the frame of the stroller. It cleans easily and will handle many of the situations you may run into with children.

Comfortable for Parents

My favorite part of my jogging stroller is the ability to steer – this stroller steers just as well, if not better. the Graco Click Connect LiteRider Stroller has front-swivel wheels that make it easier to turn sharp corners or avoid something in front of me. It has fantastic maneuverability.

I like that it has four front wheels. They give me more control and make the stroller feel much sturdier when I’m turning a corner. A large parent tray gives room for keys, cell phones, and drinks, and the basket below the seat is far bigger than I was expecting.

I can easily fit a backpack, purse and several shopping bags. The padded handlebar is perfect for all heights – my husband and I are relatively tall and are both able to push the stroller without having to hunch over.

Comfort and Safety for Baby

This stroller makes traveling enjoyable for both parent and child. A padded two-level reclining seat means your little one can sit up and look around, but with a quick switch, shifts to a reclined position for naps or resting.

The included child’s tray has a cup holder and space for snacks or toys. It pops open to let older children in and out of the stroller or comes off completely if you want. Like other Graco models, the three- and five-point-harness systems are easy to adjust and buckle around the child, and I like that it includes both.

Older infants who like to climb or escape benefit from the shoulder straps in a five-point harness; Toddlers and preschoolers who are good at sitting will enjoy the freedom of a three-point harness.

Pros

A few of my favorite features:

  • The stroller is easy to close with one hand, which is great when you are holding a younger child or escape-prone toddler.
  • Sufficient Storage: The extra-large storage basket under the stroller makes trips easier – I can fit my diaper bag and several other bags underneath the seat
  • Parent Tray: One of my favorite features that sets this apart from lightweight umbrella strollers is the parent tray that gives you room to keep your drink, keys and cell within reach.
  • The latch to hold the stroller shut when it’s collapsed is a great feature.
  • The Stroller has One-Handed Closing System It’s really good feature what I like to travel with.
  • This Graco LiteRider Stroller is compatible with all Click Connect Infant Car Seats
  • Three- and Five-Point Harness, I use this feature for  infant and toddler baby as my need.
  • It’s also available in several colors; Zuba, Bottlecap, and Lambert.

Cons

When you’re thinking about purchasing this stroller, there are a few things to remember:

  • There are only two recline positions. I wish this had a strap adjuster to let you change the recline angle.
  • It would be great if there were a stand-alone system for the stroller when it is already folded, rather than having it collapse to where the child tray is touching the ground.
  • Once it’s folded, the stroller is much more awkward than a collapsed umbrella stroller.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’S)

Q. Is this truly compatible with other Graco products?

Ans: Yes, there is an attachment piece you can buy that allows you to use a Graco Click Connect Car Seats with this LiteRider stroller as other travel systems.

Q. How does the seat recline work?

Ans. It is very easy to use but does require a little extra push to lock the clips in place and hold the back of the seat in place for the upright position

Q.  Can I use this with my newborn?

Ans. In a pinch, maybe, but using a compatible car seat would be the best option. The seat doesn’t recline to a completely flat position. The padded headrests help, but you would probably be happier with something a little more secure.

Final Verdict

I appreciate the attention to detail Graco put into this LiteRider stroller. There are only a few small modifications that I would like to see to the structure but do this think this is one of the best strollers I’ve used. It works well for the reason I bought it, and I would recommend this to any parent looking for a stroller that is portable and functional.

The colorful fabric, the padded headrest for younger children with less head control and the attached canopy are great additional features. The seat cover is easy-to-clean in case of spills, and the frame can be wiped down with household soap and warm water.

From navigating shopping to a quick walk in the park, purchasing the Graco Click Connect Lite Rider was one of the best choices I’ve made.

#2 Graco LiteRider Classic Connect Stroller Review

The Graco LiteRider Classic Connect Stroller is a great little lightweight stroller that makes getting out and about as easy as it can be when traveling with a toddler.

There aren’t many strollers that fit in my compact car, so when I saw this, I knew I needed to give it a try.

I have been impressed with the stroller’s durability. It works just as well walking through the park as it does exploring the mall.

It has enough space for my bags, a diaper bag and a few extra toys.

The parent’s tray has room for my keys and phone and two cupholders. The removable child’s tray lets my toddler keep snacks and drinks within reach, and pops off for easy entering and exiting.

Spacious and Strong

The Graco LiteRider Classic Connect Stroller weighs less than 20 pounds but has a tough and sturdy frame that can handle years of trips.

The spacious seat gives your child plenty of room to sit, lay down or cuddle up with a stuffed animal. The roomy stroller doesn’t just stop with features for your child.

The extra-large drop-down basket at the bottom gives you plenty of room for diaper bags, shopping bags, or extra blankets.

From Newborn to New Student

Being a Classic Connect stroller, this design is compatible with all other Graco infant car seats. A secure attachment makes it easy to lock the car seat to the frame and move your baby from the car to the stroller, and can securely hold up to the top recommended weight of the Graco Classic Connect. The stroller holds a child up to 40 pounds, meaning you’ll get years of use.

Smart Safety Features

The Graco LiteRider Classic Connect Stroller has a three-point locking system for older children, to keep children securely in the seat. The three-point system is easy to lock and unlock, and quickly adjustable to your child’s size.

The headrest cushions are ideal for younger infants with less head control but can be shifted around for older children. Hearing the solid click when opening the stroller gives me peace of mind that this stroller is sturdy enough to keep my child safe.

Easy to Steer the Stroller

The front-swivel wheels improve maneuverability, and a double-wheel design for both front wheels adds stability to the stroller. Some strollers we’ve tried steer well, but require some additional strength to keep them from falling over, but not the Graco LiteRider Classic Connect.

The front wheels also lock into place, the built-in suspension makes a smooth ride for your child, and the back wheels have a secure braking system.

Pros

The front wheels also lock into place, the built-in suspension makes a smooth ride for your child, and the back wheels have a secure braking system.

  • I like that the handlebar is useable for parents of all heights – I’ve had a few strollers that I had to stoop down to push, and this Graco was comfortable to steer.
  • The one-hand fold system is quick and easy to use. I can get this in and out in a matter of seconds, and be ready to go even when I’m holding my child.

Cons

There would only be a few things I would change about this stroller:

  • Shoulder restraints to make this a five-point harness would make this safer and more practical for younger children without great head control.
  • I wish the cover were a little bigger to give more protection from the sun or the rain
  • The two recline levels are excellent, but I wish there were more options for seat height.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’S)

Q. What ages can use this stroller?

Ans. This stroller holds up to 40 pounds and has a three-point harness system that is ideal for toddlers and preschoolers. Without a five-point system, infants who are still gaining head control should ride in the reclined position.

Q. Will this work with other Graco products?

Ans. This Classic Connect stroller is compatible with other Classic Connect car seats, but not with Click Connect car seats.

Q. How hard is this to close?

Ans. The one-handed fold system is not hard to use at all once you’ve gotten the hang of the steps.

Final Verdict

Overall, I’m happy with the stroller. If my child were still an infant, I would be more insistent on a stroller with a five-point harness, but with a toddler who sits pretty well, I feel like my child is secure and safe. It’s easy to put together, put in and take out of the car and is ideal for quick trips to the store or playground.

The colors are beautiful, and the fabric is easy to clean and maintain. The seat has plenty of space for my child to sit up and look around, but to snuggle up with a few blankets and lay down for a nap, as well. I would recommend this stroller to anyone who needs a portable and durable transportation option for an older infant or toddler.
